Lead, Data Services — Population Data BC · Vancouver, BC
About
I lead the Data Services unit at Population Data BC at UBC, where my team manages the intake, linkage, processing, and provisioning of large-scale population health data for academic researchers across Canada.
Before PopData, I spent six years as an MRI data analyst at the UBC MRI Research Centre, developing analysis pipelines and tools for quantitative MRI studies of concussion, multiple sclerosis, and osteoarthritis. I hold an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Victoria, where I worked on Monte Carlo simulations for the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.
I've been writing Python for over a decade, and I care about building reliable, reproducible data systems with a focus on public health.
